Habitat for Humanity Seaway Valley’s ReStore in Bonville received another treat from the wood moulding manufacturer on Halloween: a 53-foot trailer stacked with 59,000 pounds of millwork and moulding-related products.“This is the third full trailer in two years,” said Leigh Taggart, executive director. The recent donation contained 8’ and 12’ crown mouldings, 82” door jams, Pioneer Pillars cap and base sets, as well as baseboards and trim.Habitat’s ReStore relies on local companies and individuals to donate discontinued or returned product, building supplies, appliances, and furniture in good working order. The funds generated from sales go towards building new homes.

To date, the non-profit organization has built 11 houses for low income working families in SDG, which have provided 28 children with a place to call their own.

“We encourage the public to shop at the ReStore, there are new items being donated daily,” said Taggart.

She added that the strong relationship Habitat has with Alexandria Moulding is instrumental in helping their cause.
