Habitat for Humanity Seaway Valley selected the Grabs Family of Moose Creek as our 2012 Partner Family. Penny Grabs is a single mother of three young children all under the age of ten who works hard to help make ends meet.
The home is built on a serviced lot generously donated by the Township of North Stormont. The Ground breaking Ceremony took place in the beginning of May for this well deserving family. We are pleased to share that the family moved into their new home at the end of August, only four months after ground breaking!
The 1,000 square foot home is designed with three bedrooms upstairs and an additional bedroom and bathroom in the basement. The Home Dedication Ceremony took place in September 2012.
A house is built with bricks and mortar, built to withstand nature and the test of time. A home is something we make, created to withstand the challenges we face, a safe and warm environment to raise our children, celebrate our friends and family, a reflection of ourselves and our commitments to our community.
