On Saturday, November 15th, 2014, Habitat for Humanity Seaway Valley and the Cornwall Construction Association (CCA) participated in Cornwall’s Santa Claus Day Parade with the theme being an “Olde Fashion Christmas”. Both organizations had a great time building, painting and decorating the float.
A gingerbread house was constructed and saw a fog machine blowing smoke out of the chimney, much to the spectators amazement. We also had a record player spinning with Christmas tunes for the entire parade and had roughly 20 volunteers walking with the float supporting both organizations, including past Habitat partner families and some youth participation.
